Working with ABC
IASH Australia works closely with ABC to deliver a rigorous audit to ensure IASH Australia members meet and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Who are ABC?
ABC (www.auditbureau.org.au) is the independent, impartial, industry-owned service that delivers trusted certification for the media industry including online and digital media. ABC works with and for advertisers, media buyers and media owners to help them gain confidence in the data they use.
All ABC data is prepared to industry-agreed standards as set by its advertisers, advertising agency and publisher members. Online and digital media rules are set by the Digital Watchdog Committee to ensure independent development and ownership of standards for measuring online and digital media. Its members represent media owners, media buyers and advertisers.
ABC is a founding member of the International Federation of ABCs (www.ifabc.org) which forms a global network of audit bureaux from 36 countries around the world. ABC participates on the web standards group of the IFABC to establish global standards for local markets.
ABC has worked closely with IASH Australia since its inception to help develop the IASH Code of Conduct. ABC delivers third party, independent auditing of key elements of this Code for all IASH Australia Members.
How does ABC audit IASH Australia?
An ABC audit checks that the processes implemented by each IASH Australia Sales House comply with key elements of the IASH Australia Code of Conduct. This rigorous process helps to ensure that all IASH Australia Members continue to adhere to the requirements set out in the IASH Australia Code of Conduct.
The audit includes a formal review of all the IASH Australia Sales House’s trading that was active in a randomly selected month in each half-year period (January to June and July to December). The audit reviews the documentation retained by the IASH Sales House in support of its activities including; Publisher Site Agreements (which must incorporate the standard IASH Terms and Conditions), Warranties, Site Vetting Checklists (showing the classification of each site used for any fulfilment according to defined IASH categories), Insertion Orders, Invoices and Ad Delivery Reports. The audit seeks to ensure that the permissions specified by advertisers on Insertion Orders are honoured through appropriate delivery by the IASH Australia Sales House.
