Thursday November 24, 2011. The Internet Advertising Sales Houses of Australia (IASH Australia) has cleared Adconion Media Group following an investigation into claims that the company had placed display ads targeting Australian users on a potentially inappropriate site for their brands.
Andrew Lockwood, IASH Australia President and founder and managing director of PostClick said: "We took swift steps to investigate the situation and it became clear very quickly that the claims about Adconion Media Group were totally baseless. The site in question is a video search index for streaming sources and video websites including Amazon Video-on-Demand, Netflix and Hulu Plus amongst others.
"IASH remains committed to ensuring advertisers and media buyers' certainty about the integrity of ads served by IASH members and will continue to closely monitor our members activities," said Lockwood.
TV Links is a video search engine and entertainment network for movie enthusiasts. It offers its services to over six million users each month and ranks among the top 5000 US web properties according to Alexa and the Global top 7000. The site provides a detailed listing of TV shows and movies and aggregates content for these items. It does not host any content, acting as a search index for streaming sources and video websites available on the Internet. Paid services including Amazon Video-on-Demand, Netflix and Hulu Plus are also available as search results. The site is so popular that it has been featured on TechCrunch and Forbes, Yahoo Finance, MarketWatch and other leading national and international news outlets.
IASH operates a Code of Conduct for its members that means they must define and manage their inventory according to defined classifications, ensuring that it is clear of any ‘barred' inventory, complete site vetting and implement IASH approved terms and conditions for partner sites. The Code of Conduct is enforced through audits conducted by the Audit Bureau of Circulations and only those IASH Australia Members who have passed the Audit can claim membership to IASH Australia.
The members of IASH Australia are: AD2ONE Group, Adconion Media Group, Digital Network Sales, Gorilla Nation Media Australia, JEMM Group, Max Interactive, PostClick, 3D Interactive, Tribal Fusion and Valued Interactive Media.
